Vintage water glasses

Five water glasses made of thin glass with golden edging. while touching the golden surface, one can feel  as if the embossed lachouria  (pattern) were made of gold dust …. Old fashioned with a nobility of a bygone era.

Five glasses which were given to me by my mother in law, they were a present for her wedding in 1958. Countless were the times when she had  used these glasses. She was a beautiful, demure lady, in her elegant dress offering ice cold water or soft drinks to her guests visiting for the nameday of St Alexander in the heat of August.
