Description
Antique bronze candlestick
I recall it always being there, in the parlour, polished perfectly accompanied by its candle. Whenever there was a blackout it was immediately put into use, which was of course to light up the room. That had actually been its use years ago in my grandmother’s household. In my mother’s and later on, in my home it just adorned our parlour. It was part of a set of two, its “companion’s” fate was to be made into a lamp.
